Mechanical Engineering
The mechanical engineering industries cover an extensive range of diverse industrial operations, involving “metal work”, namely, metal machining, metal forming, surface treatment, assembly, etc. Two different kinds of companies coexist in the mechanical engineering sector: one, the companies developing their own products and implementing a far-reaching export policy; two, the subcontracting companies, focused on the national or even regional market.
Mechanical engineering requires a solid & sound understanding of the key concepts of mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics and energy. Practitioners of mechanical engineering, known as mechanical engineers, apply these principles and others in the design and analysis of automobiles, aircraft, heating & cooling systems, buildings and bridges, industrial equipment and machinery, and more.
Mechanical engineers also design tools which other engineers need for their work. Mechanical engineering is undoubtedly, one of the broadest engineering disciplines.
