Environmental Engineering
The field of Environmental engineering is rapidly evolving. Environmental engineering is the ingenious application of science and engineering principles to improve the environment (air, water, and/or land resources), provide healthful water, air, and land for the human habitation and for other organisms, and to remediate polluted sites.
Adverse environmental effects can be decreased and controlled through public education, conservation, regulations, and the application of good engineering practices. Environmental Engineers protect and rectify the world's natural resources, including water, soil, air, energy, and biodiversity.
They devise engineering systems which monitor, replace, or intervene in the function and operation of living organisms. They ensure an adequate and safe food, water, and air supply in an era of continuously expanding world population.
