Construction Manager
Construction managers plan direct construction processes and activities including the selection, hiring, and oversight of specialty subcontractors. Large construction projects may consume years or even decades to complete, and needs teams of many creative construction managers for handling different steps of the construction projects. One team might be looking at estimating costs. Another team might schedule the activities of the various subcontractors. And yet another team may work on-site directing and supervising the construction work in progress.
Construction managers plan and coordinate construction projects, including residential, commercial, and civil (or public works) buildings. Construction manager prepare contracts and bids, an also coordinate the works of architects, general contractors, subcontractors, and construction workers. Regardless of the size of a job or project, it takes a group of creative and dedicated construction managers to keep the project running on schedule and within budget. Construction managers must be available to deal with emergencies at the site -- even when these happen in the dead of the night.
