Computer industry is a collective term employed to describe the whole range of businesses engaged in developing computer software, designing computer hardware, computer networking infrastructures, the manufacture of computer components, and the provision of information technology services.

According to a recent survey, the fast growth rate of the computer industry, there will be a vast demand of over 5 million computer professionals by the year 2012. Computer systems analysts, database administrators, and computer scientists are expected to be among the fastest growing occupants.

Employment of diverse computer professionals will grow rapidly as more and more organizations continue to adopt and integrate increasingly the sophisticated technologies, for their well-rounded progress & prosperity. Hiring of the Indian software professionals has always been on the upswing. As per a survey, eight leading software players reported 47% growth in the employee strength in last one year. Moreover, many global and Indian players of the computer industry have announced plans to add additional software professionals in the coming years.
